They are very common, and straightforward, uncomplicated engines. Almost any marine engineer would be familiar with them, and be able to service it for you.

It is a straightforward task to do yourself, as others have said, and if you don't have the confidence to do it now, it would be good to find an engineer or someone else to show you what's involved so you will be armed next time, or if something goes wrong while you are at sea.

I would add to neil s's list -
Particularly check (1) that the tell-tale holes behind the seawater pump are not blocked, and (2) whether there is any water leaking from them (in which case replace the pump shaft seals a.s.a.p., to avoid serious damage to your engine).
Check condition and tightness of alternator (etc.) belt(s)
Check for exhaust or water leaks.

As I said, almost any marine engineer should be able to service it for you, but the nearest official Bukh agent to Weymouth is Marine Enterprises in Dorchester - Tel: 01935 83876 Email: info@marineenterprisesltd.co.uk

For doing your own servicing and maintenance in future, you can download the owner's manual (if you don't already have one) and spare parts manual (has useful diagrams of all the engine assemblies and part numbers) from Bukh Denmark:
Operators Manual Betjeningsvejledning
Spare Parts Manual Reservedels Katalog
Workshop Manual https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0..._dv20_workshop_manual.pdf?3778003395312101775

Bukh DV10/20 spares are almost all readily available (though pricey). I find T. Norris a good source Bukh Marine Engine Service Parts & Spares, but they're also available from Bukh UK Spares - BUKH, other Bukh agents and some other suppliers.

Things like oil and fuel filters are common to other engines and available cheaper as non-Bukh parts, neil s suggested one, but you'll find a whole load of others in this thread - Bukh Filters

Bukh manual specifies SAE 30 (i.e. monograde) lubricating oil, but standard mineral (not synthetic!) 15-40 multigrade motor oil for diesel engines is fine in it - go for the 'older diesel engines' grade of API 'CF-4'.

Good luck with it!
