It's a fabulous day on the old Med Way - and I am stuck in my office!!!!

Can anybody advise me on how to connect a rev counter to my Bukh DV10. Presumably it is from the alternator but I am not sure how. Also, where can I get a useble rev counter without revving up my wallet?

Thanks folks

[/ QUOTE ]Here - connects / clamps round the injector pipe - no connection to alternator - easy to fit but you need to know if the injector pipe is 6mm or ¼" ø before ordering.

If you go for the type that connects to your alternator you need an alternator with a "W" connection or you will need to tap into the AC side yourself and then you will need to calibrate the meter so you will need an alternative means of measuring the rpm. All in all a real PITA IMHO.

Tiny tack or that style is the way to go. I use a push bike speedo. Small magnet on the front pulley with the pick up on a small bracket. The head unit is set at kph and 24 inch wheel. Gives very accurate rpm but down one decimal place.
