Anybody know where they are? I tried to locate them using my manual & owners handbook & all I could identify is the zinc anode plug,are there any more?

Port side forward, there is a sea water drain bolt, suprisingly high up the engine, but the coolant doesn't cool anything lower than the pistons....

There are 3 on the DV20 and you already have 2 out of 3
1) Pencil anode plug at top rear beside the exhaust
2) Block drain on starboard side just aft of the starter motor
3) Underneath the exhaust manifold at the very back (Huge thing compared to other 2 above)
You might find these documents useful. I uploaded them to my website so that a friend could look through them. I'll probably be deleting them in a few weeks as I'm a little short of space. Workshop & spare part manuals for DV10 & DV20 (both docs. over 300 pages)

Is the DV20 the same as the DV10? The starter motor is on the starboard side on the DV10 so I am a little confused.
I shall look for the one you have identified as "(3)."
Thanks very much for the workshop manual & parts list.I'm sure they will come in very useful but I hope I never have to use them

There are photos of the drain point on the DV20 at http://coxengineering.sharepoint.com/Pages/Calorifier.aspx On the port side I think. The manual seems to say that they are the same on the DV10

Apologies, it was late when I wrote the earlier post. The starter motor and drain are both on the starboard side on the DV20 and should be the same on the DV10 as far as I can remember.
My current boat has the starter motor on the port side so that might have been where the error arose. I'm also overdue for a 3 monthly injection and my thinking does tend become slightly confused until the next one kicks in (though SWMBO says I'm always that way).

The DV10 drain is shown as on the port side (and the electric starter motor is on the starboard side, the hand start on the port) in the DV10/DV24 owners handbook.

Pics. did confirm that the starter motor and drain are on the starboard side. The pic. looking at the flywheel end shows the starter on the left when looking towards the stern. That makes it on the starboard side, unless the prop. is in front of the engine 8^))
Thanks for the pictures. I see someone else says that the DV10/DV24 is different but it won't be hard to find that drain as there are only 2 sides.
Can't actually confirm the DV10 drain location as it has been such a long time since I saw one. The workshop manual I provided has a sectional drawing of a DV20 (Page 23 B7) but not the DV10. I could see the drain plug on the drawing, but only because I knew exactly where it was in the first place. However, it does make sense that it would be opposite the starter motor on DV10. There isn't a huge space behind the DV20 starter and the DV10 is a much shorter engine. So I'm guessing the plug wouldn't be accessible unless it was on the port side on the DV10.

Yes, that one is on the starboard side. It's a while since I owned my Bukh 20 but I thought the connection I made for the calorifier return, which uses the drain cock drilling, was on the port side. No photos of that though.

Just been down my boat & I searched all round the block & I could only find the zinc anode brass bung......I think that the only one that exists.

Look again then Nicholas , forget all the confusion with DV20.
I have a DV10. and there IS a drain plug on the port side (assuming your installation is flywheel fwd), quite high up the engine. Use a lamp and mirror if you need to, it IS there.

Looked particularly for that one & could'nt see any sign of it.....& my boat has got exceptional access so no mirror needed........Could you identify EXACTLY where it is?

shows items 50, 51 screw & seal but doesn't say the size. I recall the bolthead is about 14mm a/f

I was down my boat this morning chewi & I scoured that area without seeing anything that looked remotely like a bung.That area on your drawing is behind the water pump & before a fuel pump/filter thing so I will look again tomorrow morning but I can't imagine I missed it.I shall also look out for that tap No 23 on the other side because I hav'nt seen anything like that.
Don't put yourself out it is not really important as I am leaving my boat just with anti-freeze pumped through it.....Gave it a good run this morning & am happy that it has got a full litre inside.

No, you're not (necessarily) going mad or blind!
Having earlier posted the confirmation of it being on the port-hand side from the Owner's Handbook I'd downloaded, I had a quick look at our 'new' (36 yr old, but new to us) DV10 at the weekend. I looked for the drain on the port side, and couldn't find it either!
(Fortunately, ours is indirectly cooled, so the engine has anti-freeze in anyway (I hope!
), and finding the drain can wait a bit, but I'll search again at the weekend and report back.
