BUKH DV 20 alternator

I would like to install a tachometer but I don't believe this is possible with the standard SEV Marchal alternator. Could anyone suggest an alternative which will bolt straight on and allow tacho installation? (Needs a " W" terminal I believe)

As far as I know it is an automotive product. In the past I have owned two Citroens and both had Rhone alternators, so I should look for something French in your local scrapyard. So long as the fittings are in the same place as required by the engine it doesn't matter what type you fit. Make it 50 Amps at least and ensure the drive pulley is the same size and axial position as the old one.

The Rhone unit fitted to mine has a W terminal

Thank you for the prompt response Vyv. I am not familiar with the Rhone brand. Is this an automotive item and if so do you have any idea what vehicle it is fitted to?
