I have an old Bukh 36 - I guess around 1985. The engine panel includes a green light which over four years has never lit up until yesterday when it started flashing alarmingly!! I have looked in the book and can see no specific reference to it although there is mention of a low fuel indicator light which can be fitted as an option. The light is in one of the 'spare' or optional positions on the engine panel. I have a dipstick (which I fitted) and so know there is plenty of fuel. Any ideas about the function of this green flashing light? Thanks.

According to the electic chart of Bukh36 there is no "regular" green lamp. The warning lamp for charging current is located in the middle lower section of the standard Bukh panel. Besides it is red.
The best way to determine what your green lamp is responsible for is to track down the wire, which is connected to the lamp.
