Bukh Agent in Portugal - Is ther one?

The title says it all really. Need to get a couple of engine spares asap. Before I call Bukh UK (I presume the number +44 1202 668840 is still good) and try and get stuff Fedexed out does anyone know if there is an agent more local to me here in Portugal (Lagos) ?

I don't know whether there is a dealer in Portugal, but from my experience (albeit in the Med.) it would have been far, far quicker for us to have got the lads at Bukh Diesel UK to have had it courieredit out to us. A lot cheaper too, even with the extra courier cost.

Ok, we were dealing with Bukh Barcelona, but 'manana' wasn't in it!!

Have you asked in the Bluewater office, they have yard facilities at Portimao and may be able to point you in the right direction

Yes there is one but speaking from experience,they should be avoided.They don't keep a stock of parts in Portugal so they will do pretty much what you will if you order the bits from the UK yourself.And strangely they have a way of inflating the prices that I don't find justifiable.And it takes ages to get the parts as well.As I said before you're better off ordering straight from the UK.

I don't know Bukh agents in general but
I would order from the UK and forget Portugal.
Simple formula, get UK price multiply by three add IVA, there's your price in Portugal. Delivery time is about the same as it is unlikely to be in stock.

Many thanks to all for your input. Have bitten the bullet and ordered via UK. Ouch! Still we ain't going anywhere without the bits so suppose it had to be done.
I have dealt with the UK before and they are very good. Just wondered if there was somewhere I could go locally to get the bits.
