Bukh 24 slow to stop, what to check?

I think my DV24 is slow to stop requiring the key to be held in the stop position for around 20 second, when it used to be around 5. I think this may be linked to what appears to be a higher idling speed than I used to have.
What do you think I should look at first, all comments gratefully received

Do you have a solenoid to stop it?

If so, it might be sticking/failing...

try stopping it with the manual stop lever, and if that is quicker, then you've narrowed it down....

Key operated stop, so yes there must be a solenoid, not sure where its located but I will look for it at the weekend.
