Can anyone suggest a broker where I can get reasonable “Builders Risk” insurance as I have a “project boat” in the garden which I am in the process of renovating. To my everlasting shame, it has been there for 8 years and I doubt if it will be finished this year.
I have insurance on the boat at the moment but the premium just does not seem to reflect the value of the sum insured. Present cover even has £3.M third party but it is difficult to see how the boat can cause such havoc nestling in a corner of my garden with trees surrounding it on three sides.
Basically all I want is insurance cover in the event of total write off due to some cataclysmic event. I don’t even want theft as the boat is up on blocks.
