Just done West Highland Week - great fun - a good mix between round the cans and passage racing, superb surroundings and friendly people. Should be on your list.

Yes and seeing as i actually live in Scotland should be feasible. Were you out sailing today?! 45 knot gusts at the marina in Edinburgh.

How about Falmouth week? Even has a white sails class so you don't have to mess around with poles. Then there is Fowey immediately following and if you are really adventurous you can nip round the corner to the bristol channel and do the Lundy race from ilfracombe or the club and open regattas in Cardiff and Portishead. You won't find yourself competing against the money no object irc Solent types. Not mere mortals, just sailing enthusiasts as they used to be

PASAB Penzance around Scilly and back. One day I'd like to do it in an F18, maybe Falmouth Marazion Scilly and back would be a good cat route for the adventurous? Just needs someone to organise it.
