BUBBLE GAS DETECTOR.

Hi,
I would like to fit a Bubble Gas Detector to my butane gas system, but I have very little room in my gas locker. Would be grateful if anyone could tell me how they are secured, i.e. Bolted to locker or bracket secure to locker and bubble gas detector slid onto bracket.
I would also like to know the overall measurements and where they can be purchased, local camping/caravan shop does not keep them.
Many thanks,
Hardley

contact calor and they will advise.

they publish a handy booklet on gas for boats which lists all the safety gadgets.
the bubbler fits into the copper pipe using compression fittings. you should have a standard pipe clip either side of it. i'm ashore at present but from memory the dimensions are around 70mm along the pipe, 50mm top to bottom and 20mm thick.
p.s. have you got a 'gaslow' valve to protect against pipe rupture?

A bubble gas detector is simply screwed to the vertical surface nearest to the gas bottle. It is an excellent foolproof device and gives a clear visual indication that all is well with the supply line. Living where I do, I usually get most stuff by post. An excellent supplier is BES of Birmingham who can supply all you need including fittings, flexible hose and drawn tubing. Their website is www.bes.ltd.uk. Delivery is free and there's no minimum order! First class people.

Dimensions HxWxD 90x60x30mm Price about £40
