ask them to send you the full info on the scheme and its requirements. Quite a few things have changed recently.

If you have a gas fridge, take it off the boat before the examination (and stow it out of sight!)
Make sure your gas hob and oven (if you have one) have flame failure.
Have a general critical look round your engineroom, look for loose wires, potential fuel spills. Oil drips from engines must land in a tray or contained area.
Apart from that, it's a doddle.

And when you have a fire the insurance is invalidated!

dougie, I don't know what your problem is. Obviously you don't know much about BSS. If you fit appliances after the certificate has been granted, the certificate is still valid - hence the insurance is still valid.
