Thanks for advice regards removing fuel tank in Broom 35 sedan only required to saw out 1 x small floor beam in saloon.
Tank had tiny split in welded seam.Boat is 30 years old so not bad going really.
Also .....club member was of to Eastbourne yesterday and had to return to club when port engine went into limp mode.Max 2000rpm.
Pair of D6s.Something to do with fuel apparently .
Any suggestions for Volvo outfit, who can get to Medway area a bit soonish with magic box reader???

Longshot, but do you know their engine serial numbers??? Later EVC generations allow fault codes to be read by the user (only when the fault is active though unfortunately) so they could read that themselves & give someone a head start on the fault. If, as I suspect, the ignitions have been switched off by now then they would need the fault to happen again to read it themselves. Historic faults can only be read with the diagnostic tool.

If it is fuel related, have they tried the basics? Pre-filter change, main filter, separate fuel supply? How full are the tanks, how full were they over the winter, when were they filled up, when was the boat last used?

Thanks for input. Boat has been well used this year and had a service about 4 months ago.
Chap will be ringing around again on Monday, but all VP engineers appear to be well booked up for days.
