Hi guys,

I am replacing a few bulkheads this weekend and I will be epoxying and screwing in. So I am looking for some of these screws that I can pickup today in hampshire.

I can find them mail order but they wont get here in time.

Anyone know where I can buy them off the shelf?

Many thanks,

G

Not sure why you need Bronze woodscrews in this application. If you are using eopxy the bond should be stronger than the surrounding material and the fastenings redundant once they have done the job of holding the pieces in place while the epoxy cures.

I'm not glassing the new bulkheads in just bonding to the stringers. This would normally suffice but there's nothing wrong with a belt and braces attitude is there?

No, just that the properties of bronze are rather wasted in this application. Bronze is good when you are using it as a sole means of fastening wood to wood in potentially damp environments. If you are relying on epoxy for the bond then you don't need fastentings at all - and if the joint is not secure without fastenings then perhaps you should not use epoxy!
