broken kicker fitting on our boom - how to replace?

setting up the main on saturday and a bang from the stainless fitting to which the kicking strap attaches - seems one end of the fitting has broken - photo below shows it after I have rotated what remains round by 180 degrees

anyone know how to remove this fitting and more importantly where to buy and how to fit the replacement - the fitting goes into a slot cut into the bottom of the boom with - as far as I can see - an inner fitting riveted in place - am hoping that somehow it just slots in ????

Remove Boom from mast, remove rivets (or screws) from end plug (Goose neck), drill out rivets holding fitting and replace with new one, re riven end plug.
