Hi,

Last summer we sometimes had severe problem unwinding the furling genua. After unmasting we found out that the top part of the profile and the head cap was broken (probably by twisting the halyard around the profile)

I'm now talking to my local rigdealer, they say the system is mounted wrong (lacks either a halyard deflector or a diverting block).

I'm reluctant to drill in my mast (I like the simplicity and smoothness of the X-332), the system is actually mounted by X-yacht and I find the mast / forestay angle to tight o be able to fit the deflector,

Have anyone any experience of how a Facnor system is mounted (especially on a X-yacht)

My own Facnor furler has also broken the cap at the top and I have yet to replace it. Mine is fitted to a Beneteau and has the halyard deflector fitted as Facnor recommend, and without which you will always be prone to halyard wrap. Facnor, and my local riggers have told me that to replace the broken cap the whole lot has to be dismantled off the forestay! Given mine is 10 years old I am more than a little concerned that it will not come off easily (e.g. stainless screws in alluminium foil!), but it will have to be done.
Facnor have a lot of info on their website regarding these units, with drawings to help.
In your case I would say the addition of a fitting to guide the halyard is the way to go.

I have an X332 and have had troubles last year with my Facnor gear. The opposite problem to you with a suspect halyard swivel making it very very difficult to furl away.

Regarding your deflector problem, my set-up has a U bracket fitted to the mast rather than relying on the halyard deflector. This was fitted by X yachts and has worked perfectly for me. The picture below shows the arrangement. Note that although there's some damage and I'll replace it, it hasn't impacted the performance.
