With Easter round the corner thinking of where to cruise to, does anyone know what state the bank is? I know it was always shallow there in places but we were able to moor bow in! Do you think the fast flow and flooding has made it any worse?

Hope it faired better than here....

The Brocas is lately a poor mooring due to depth issues.

We even got the Broom 30 stuck on it, although easy to rock off due to the keel and protected prop.

I wouldn't take anything above 30' with twin props there unless you moor nose in and leave your stern hangin' out! (oo er) as is the fashion with Gin palaces most of the Summer...

Brocas is great in my gin palace! Wedge the bow on, tail out, go for a paddle and clean the scum line! Also good for having a quick feel around the props. Good for adhoc maintenance, **** as a leisure mooring though...

I like your thinking! Sadly, the only 'scum around the water line' was a family of Slough residents having a bath on 'BBQ Island' if you know what I mean...LOL

There have been problems with people stepping all over boats in order to have their photo's taken.

It's annoying, and downright rude, as they leave their shoes on, and get all shirty when you ask them what the hell they're doing.

While I have heard of lines being undone, I can't honestly say it's ever happened to me at Windsor....

Off to the Island tonight though, lets see! :p
