Hi all

Anyone thinking of buying one of these ?
A couple of years ago I tried to find anyone with first hand experience of a Brizo but found no one so it was with trepidation that I shelled out £250 for an unknown bit of kit .
A couple of years on and I have saved £100s on haul outs for anti fouling etc . It works an absolute treat one of the most useful bit of kit Iv bought ........ Along with transome wheels for the inflatable !:)

Absolutely no connection with the company just giving the information and experience that I was looking for before buying.

3 of us got together to share one and it has worked well. Two have Coppercoat and use the harder sponge and I have traditional softer antifoul and use the soft one.The problem now is that I cannot get a replacement sponge as Brizzo have either stopped making them or gone out of business.I have done many web searches to no avail.

I would not be surprised if they have gone out of business. Everyone I know has had the same reaction, good idea, but simply impossible to justify the price.

Oh b*gger really ?? Just as I thought I had Summin really useful .:( Will have to cherish the heads I have .

Just phoned the company on their mob No ........They no longer have an interest in the Brizo but she kindly promised to email the new owners contact No . Will post it as soon as I get it .

This product seems to be a variation of the same theme - but considerably cheaper at around £80.

I am thinking about it - anyone got one and can comment?

I have one and it's great for slime and algae but don't leave it too late as barnacles etc., rip the head to shreds. It will take layers of soft antifoul off too. So use with care.

Is it just suitable for the upper underwater hull sides, or would it reach down to the the keel of a 1.5mtr draft - 3.0mtr Beam yacht.

Only interested how far down it will reach with the handle extended?

Cheers Philip

On sale in local chandlery for £65 - looks good, I always thought the Brizo was a complete rip off - like the plastic bung on Dragons Den maybe it only cost £10 to make but the "marketing" costs were £150.

Just had a reply from the original manufacturer ........ For some reason Didnt have access to details of the new owners ....??????? However she did suggest contacting Force4 or foxes who were selling them for any spare heads or the details of the new owners . Not a lot of help but I guess they could have completely ignored my request and not bothered txing me back
Must admit I feel a bit gutted that I have been with a rather expensive " white elephant".
