Although the web site is in french I can manage it, and I don't speak french. SHOM charts seem to be hard to get in UK.

Yep. Imray covers the whole coast from the Channel down to the Gironde. The charts include the usual port diagrams and other bits and pieces familiar to anyone who's used their British charts .

If you are an Imray user fine, but if you are used to UKHO charts you will find SHOM charts more like them than imray ones. The abbreviations of lights and so on are all in English too. Below is an example of a bit of a SHOM chart: notice VQ for very quick, WRG and so on all same as UKHO charts.

Go for the Imray series - best for detail. Admiralty are a ripoff. Want second hand charts - go to Chartsales.com.
For headlands and tricky bits, get local French charts when you arrive - they are 1st class.
