Brighton Slipway

My mate has just bort a boat at Brighton and I'm gunna fetch it with my tralier. BUT we are told there is no slipway at Brighton and the nearest is Newhaven or Shoreham - can this be true ....... so how we gunna do it then ... answers on a postcard ???

There is no slipway in Brighton Marina. You can book a lift out from the boatyard. I believe the cost for a lift out and scrub, then onto your trailer is £16.50 per metre.
Otherwise a trip along the coast.

Call Lewes District Council on 01273 - 471600. I think there's a slipway between Brighton Marina and Rottingdean. I'm sure they built it when renovating the undercliff. Newhaven charge for the tractor. Ropetackle in Shoreham is free but its up the River Adur and tidal.

Slipway at Rotingdean. Turn at traffic lights at the bottom of the hill (right if you're coming from Brighton). Surface slippery.
