I'm thinking of returning to BlingSea for a few days but read on-line that the area has been suffering from an untraceable pong. I'd welcome any views on this.

I grew up in Essex and remember my early experiences with the local "talent". "Kiss me where it smells" so I drove her to Brightlingsea.

I think she now lives in Jaywick.

You would be referring to the delicate odour that comes from the Dunmow Waste disposal plant at the top end of the town.
Yes, it does get a shade 'intense' in warm weather and any breeze with some North in it will waft it gently across the town. Fortunately with the prevailing West/South Westerlies it tends to get blown away towards St Osyth and Clacton who are more than welcome to it!

Thanks all. I'll look for a suitable W or SW forecast and give BlingSea another try. Love the humour.
