When faced with a gaggle of 10 mobos waiting for further directions as they came in ,our attempt to avoid the ones aground or two abreast pointing in different direction's and two more in the channel meant we got caught to close to the bank .
We can normally get off soft mud, in spite of being the right side of a line between the two red cans and putting both sails up at one point, we got stuck .

Considering the motor boats aren't very big I bet they only draw 3ft at the most so not sure how they got in a muddle....... But they are motor boats so anything is possible

Back in the 70s I ran aground there in the 70s in my Stella. It was not far off LW & light winds so I left the sails in as if I was sailing to windward & the boat was slightly heeled. A geezer in a small yacht sailed just inside us about a boat length's astern. It promptly ran hard aground.
He said to us " I am aground". I said. "That is funny so are we". He got the right hump & spent the next 30 mins abusing us because we had not told him that he was running into shallow water.
We just wound him up even more with loads of sarky comments. What annoyed him most was that we got off first & waved him good bye.
A mobo went even closer inshore at about 18kts. The stern drive kicked up throwing mud high in the air. The occupants had no idea & the boat planed across the mud for 75-100 yds before it went back into deep water again. They carried serenely on oblivious to the fact.
