Brightlingsea in a fin keel drawing 1.6m

Was planning to leave Conyer just before high water to take favourable tide across. As it’s gone a little ENE now am I likely to get the wind over tide chop in Middle Deep? We’ll have our two small kids aboard so ideally I’m trying to provide a not too bumpy ride. ?

I suspect quite likely. You could head east along past Whitstable then strike North.. OTOH, you could go to Ramsgit?

We came in yesterday just after low water. Hit a patch in the approach channel to the creek which was 1.5m but we bumped through and saw plenty of water from there on in. The incredibly helpful harbour master met us and showed us to a berth on the mid creek pontoon. Lovely spot with some beautiful traditional boats. Thanks to everyone for all the pointers. ?
