Bridge opening at Port Saint Louis

Has anyone used the bridge at the lock recently. I have the Fluvicarte guide but it is rather out of date so would appreciate the latest info.
We are sailing down Rhone and want to get into the harbour to the navy Services yard where we will overwinter.
The bridge only seems to open for 10 minutes so does this mean that you have to be in the lock ready to go by that time?
Is there space on the lock approach to tie up if we are early?
Any recent info will be appreciated.

Probably but When I looked for responses my thread seemed to have gone so I sent another!!
We got through the lock ok despite the misleading info.
We were not allowed in untill 1615 ( which was the quoted bridege opening time) then we got caught in a sudden gust which spun us round in the lock!! We then had to wait for 45mins before the bridge went up, then a desperate race to turn the boat round in the lock and get out before they shut the bridge on us. All our attempts to contact the lock keeper on VHF failed ( we wanted to get his permission to turn round before the bridge went up) The telephone number produced a recorded message.
Rafting up outside the lock was difficult, the quay was full of small local boats which we thought a bit small to raft to, just one medium sized ( rather derelict) 25 foot yacht which we did use.
Any way many thanks for the advice. We are now ashore at Navy services for the winter.
