Brexit and Red diesel in Cherbourg

Following on from Guernsey man's post about French customs becoming problematic, I am hearing about a Guernsey fishing boat getting nicked, in Cherbourg, for red diesel in the last few days.
May only be gossip but I would be interested to hear if anyone else has head about this and if so what are the ramifications. It seems strange that Northern France really wants to effectively block
UK boats.
Perhaps little Bonaparte is practicing for when he has to start negotiating for the fishing rights.

And odd given the Marina Manager was recently touring S Coast sailing clubs to drum up business in light of Brexit. It probably won't be Brexit that puts hotties off visiting, rather the red diesel issue.
