Brest - Moulin Blanc or Chateau Marina

My Advice would be First stop Roscoff or Trebeurden about the same distance from Jersey but you are probably too big for Trebeurden.

Then L'Aber Wrach is a short hop Call ahead and ask if they can accommodate your size.

Camaret is Quaint but you are probably too big, you will need diesel so dictates Le Chateau, its ok.

You are probably too gig for Audierne.

In Atlantic France they do not generally "Reserve" a berth for you but call ahead and ask if there is space and say that you intend to call on such a date and confirm the day before or on the day.

Take the two races at slack water only so time your arrivals.

Its worth getting a copy of the Bloc marine Almanac, I shall be at the Jersey Boat show if you want a chat PM me.

We liked L'AberWrach, if you can moor on the inside of the wave breaker pontoon you will be fine.

We were not keen on Trebeurden, and at 48' we struggled to find a large enough berth, so I'd avoid it.

3 places I would definitely recommend are a night at anchor off Houat, a few days in La Rochelle in the locked marina in the center, Les chalutiers (don't miss the market there, and the evening street entertainers) and if you do decide to go further down the French coast, and fancy visiting some vineyards, then call into Port Medoc and hire a car, although I know that you're pretty familiar with that area, especially Bordeaux:D
