For those of us luxuriating in the total absence of the "sport industry" from TV and still missing Time Team.
An archeological dig just above the Medway near Maidstone attempting to find Roman buildings.
Two interesting sort of boaty things.
In the past have thumped on more than one occasion something hard midstream on the bottom of the river between Tovil and East Farleigh.
The EA a little while ago removed from the river bed while dredging (eat your heart out Thames) 4 or 5 great lumps of Ragstone .
It is suggested that the stones were being moved by river during the Roman occupation after being quarried nearbye and were somehow dumped or lost overboard and simply abandoned.
The stones are now on plain view on the bank just below the old lockeepers cottage at Farleigh.
The boat taking the film crew and archaeologists for their cruise up the river was proudly wearing a RCC pennant.
