Breezy tonight at Shotley

At least its from the SSW....... thats not too bad.

I hate to see this sort of information.... there is bugger all I can do... and though I am better tied up that most there... I wish I had the sails off.....

Well, I cant see the point for you... with that barge and that humongous Oyster behind you.... and being at the bottom of a fishbowl 12 hours out of 24... you are in a pretty sheltered spot!

The Shotley lot seem to take their lines a bit casually... the neighbour uses some scrappy bits of sheet.... and very short straight to the pontoon....

I've got two solid lines from the bow... a good solid oversized spring... and two off the stern quarter... so cross fingers... That worked ok in plymouth for 4 years....

Its the "Royal Barge" I would worry about.... sideways on to the pontoon....

Latest!

All is fine here atm, just checked the pontoons and nothing obvious to report apart from lots of wind :(, lots of rain  and lots af noisy halyards !!!!

Sailorman will be pleased to know that everything looked OK when I left at 07:45 this morning.
It was pretty blowy overnight and it is predicted that it will continue to gust around 30kts all week until it increases again Thu/Fri. :(
Oh the joys of living on board.......

Just as long as it dont snow....

Think he said it was the BWYC yacht and boat club ( 45,waterside, Brightlingsea CO7 0AZ ) and it has a new kitchen opening spring 2012.
But what would I know :p

Ask Clive after Saturday, he's invading us
Anyway, the liver salts seem to be working, wind has dropped since last night. Plenty of wind supplied firewood outside now though.
Time you got your furry backside over here too yah know, Mrs Sailorman deserves a treat now and then :p
Suppose she gets that anyway when you leave her at home though :D

7.30 for 8 o.k. for you 6d?

Ready for you from 19-00 Clive, should be a good night with all other tables booked too. Test run worked fine with some of Suffolk's finest in last night, apparently they enjoyed the evening and would have danced the night away, had they known we now have the room set up for a boogie :o

leave him a Tip ;).
B nice to prospective punters :p
