I've had a couple of good results from the Suzuki pr folks too. One was an engine for a charity give away boat, and the other the offer of free bits for a project.

Once they had delivered the engine I noticed that they seemed to target the marine market - following my lead as it were. They twigged that boats were a good application for their outboards. Hitherto used as commercial food mixers I believe.

I am concerned that Suzuki will be up to their old tricks and move into the pot plant market. I shall be investing in them, and would suggest that you do too.

Please tell the Suziki man that Mercury are rubbish becauce they will not 'support' my engine. That means they will not even answer questions about propellor choice. They say it's because my Merc is from the early 70's.

Let Suziki know that if they give me a 9.9HP high thrust I shall happily spend the rest of my life saying how fab thier engines are. :)

Why will I be taking along a bottle of bubbly to the boat club on Tuesday evening's meeting? In a long stream of incredible things that have happened since I began this journey, a new twist in the tale has come about. My blog is at www.aboatformypotplants.blogspot.com

Enjoyed Neil's blog, and wish his ventures well.

Oh, BTW, my backroom software tells me that 2 'trackers' are established within the blog and tried to attach themselves to my meanderings. They have politely been encouraged to 'EffAffOff', as a certain William Connolly would put it.....
