I need to replace a couple of bits of caulking on teak. Local Chandler looked blank when I mentioned breaker tape so any suggestions from the forum? I'd prefer something with an adhesive quality rather than trying to keep old cassette tape in place prior to caulking. What do you guys use and where do you get it please?

If your question relates to a tape that goes into the bottom of the seam prior to caulking then what I did on my teak laid deck was to drive caulking cotton into the seams. Firm it home and you will find this creates a 'square profile' to the bottom of the seam such is to prevent the sika forming a 'V' profile and pulling away from the edge of the seam.

I would think tape with an iron oxide would lead to rust stains at some stage?

Mine came from Robbins timber. They sold two widths. I still had problems getting the adhesive side to sit down in the groove.
The caulking idea is good to square off the bottom of a deep groove but misses the point about using tape which is to ensure the caulking sticks to the sides of the teak and not the bottom. In theory trhere is thus less chance of the caulking being pulled from the side.
