On Saturday night from approximately 10pm till 3am...
Five burglars ransacked and stole from 10 boats ( that we know of) as well as breaking into the clubhouse and storage sheds.
Of the boats targeted several had their hatches or doors kicked in with the clubhouse being trashed. The thieves made off with a small trailer which they filled with stolen items, the most prominent of which I have listed below. Other than small change from the pool table, a TV and alcohol from the clubhouse bar all of the items ( I don't think every boat owner has yet checked their inventories so there could be more items missing) related to boats or fishing, almost like a shopping list....
If anyone in the Cardiff area is offered such items from unusual sources please contact myself or the club..
They items stolen were...
Small trailer (brown with white wheels)
Two ~5hp outboard motors
Bronze propeller (10 inch)
Several lifejackets
Fishfinder
Marine radios
Several power tools
Dyna start
Transformer
Various fishing gear.
We have clear images of several of the perps on our extensive CCTV system hence any information regarding the identities of these vandals would be appreciated. The damage caused was certainly of greater value than the quantity of items taken
