For your information, Oldgit, our 'Shipping Container' has all mod cons and an extremely nice bar - has no one invited you in??

Err, not sure I can 'get him' as you request, especially as I am hoping I may get invited to Easter Sunday lunch now that his Burnham trip is off :D

In any case, I am sure you are well able to fight your own corner, Sheila !

Every Marina has it's strong and weak points.

Penton Hook:

Good facilities, great position for tidal cruising, also has a clubhouse, but a little lacking in warmth IMHO

Windsor:

Great position to tell your friends about (Ooh, we're moored at Windsor!) nice clubhouse (as long as you're not on the committee staffing it!!) and good facilities, but a long walk to many pontoons!

Bray:

The most picturesque, has all the facilities of the others (bar a chandlery) but sports a very good restaurant. Our clubhouse is smaller, but we like boating rather than sitting around crocheting.

No wrongs, just a matter of taste, and whereabouts you want to be on the river!

Great staff either way...
