Bray CC Christmas get-together!

[No Regrets]

It was nice to see so many familiar faces at the 2009 Bray Xmas bash last night!

Congratulations to Andy Hogg on being elected Commodore, I'm sure Barry will appreciate the rest, and have no doubt Andy will prove a fine figurehead for the Thames' finest!

There was a good selection of food and drink as always, and some jovial music throughout the evening, to accompany the lively conversation and quizzes!

Now, we're looking forward to 2010, and some fine weather. It was kind of sad seeing No Regrets on the hardstanding for the first time though, especially anticipating the money that needs to be spent to polish, antifoul and refloating her come Springtime...

It will be nice to see all the freshly polished vessels wending their way to Sonning for the fitting out cruise though....

I am surprised you are not busy polishing those trophies!

Last night put me in mind of the old Brooklands slogan. "The right crowd and no crowding!"

A splendid evening all round. The only notable absence was Brayman who it seems was washing his hair, or painting his fingernails or some such.

Boatone was in fine form, sitting at the bar.

Apollo was present with his family. Seeing the boats on the hard he began to mutter about the failure of the EA to dredge the area, but soon cheered up when it was pointed out that their fenders were all down!
