Am I correct, do Bravo two legs have no oil level check they are fed from an oil resevovoir, if this is so how do you ckeck the condition of the oil, ie. water ingress
Just keep the resovoirs (sp?) up to level. Check oil condition by draining a small amount (egg cup full) out of drain plug, check it for water and check for particles on the drain plug magnet. Leg will refill from reservoir.
Note: if level goes down noticably, you need to check leg out as you have a problem developing.
Gimble bearing lube nipple, Quicksilver gimble bearing grease, give it about 7-8 strokes of the gun every year - 100hrs in fresh water, 6 months - 50 hrs salt.
Bravos do use a bit of oil so provided you don't see the resevoir drop too much you should be OK. There should also be a nipple inside the boat on the drive coupling (you may need to turn the motor to get it in position, use only the proper spline grease there.
