Im loosing oil from my oil bottle in the engine bay. I pulled of the outdrive and the bellows were full of slurry. There was no water getting through the gimbal bearing only green oil. I drained the leg down only oil no water. Has anyone changed the oil seal the manual indicates I need a retainer wrench. Has any one got one I can borrow or know where I can get one for a few days. Those on ebay are sourced in the usa and with postage are pricy. Apart from the correct loading of the pinion gear I think the rest is possible. Dave

Thanks Jurgen. My boat is on the hamble outdrive at home in van. Its all clean and flushed ready to go. I may well save myself trouble and contact Tom. If you have a mob. number I will thank you. Dave

Depends, there are two types, the older type retainer with serrated teeth which engage with teeth inside the circular wrench, and flat retainers with holes around the circumference into which pins on the U shaped wrench fit.
