Can someone with some local knowledge tell me the 'depth' of Bramble Bank dries? IIRC it dries about 1m in theory but I'm not sure how trustworthy that figure, or my memory are. The only chart I have access to claims it dries 1 fathom.

At high tide I regularly sail over that part of Bramble Bank charted as 0 to 2 m below datum to the east of the drying area. I can confirm that the depths there do appear to be as chartered, so no reason to believe that the highest point is anything other than the 1m or so above datum shown on charts.

Are you planning a cricket match?

Thanks to all.

Considering a visit, obviously avoiding Aug 22nd morning. Don't know what exactly what the sporting activity will be but there will be one. Touch rugby, British Bulldog, Conga?

Maybe we'll take shovels and move it 100m East for a laugh! :-)

You also need high pressure or you will be running around knee deep.

I doubt that.

LW = 0.4m
My knee (barefoot) = 0.23m
My sandels = 0.02m :-)

Actually no, even if your maths was right (it isn't) you're still wrong - British Bulldog in water knee deep would be more fun and better for fitness so I still don't 'need' anything.

Mind you, by luck you're half right. I do want high pressure. Wouldn't be much fun in a F10 gale and horizontal rain.

Sorry, I thought you asked for some local information and wanted to get out to it when it was drying. You seem to know all the answers to your own questions already. Hope you find it as you expect.

If you get it right it should be more like this:

Better take a shovel and move it to Portugal then! :)
