Brain seized; no tidal atlas handy; which way does tide run on the flood on English South Coast between Dungeness and Selsey?

No need for lots of detail, "east" or "west" will do.

how close to the shore are you?

At Selsey it starts heading East 6 hours before HW Dover but at Dungeness it doesn't start heading East until 2-3 hours before HW Dover and keeps going East until 3 hours after HW Dover.
