Got to the marina for 8.30, sun was out and not a breath of wind (not good for the raggies) but ideal for us.
Plan was to have a run up to rochester castle then get back to Gillingham for the start of the match.

A great mini cruise, and a good time had by all.

That "puffer" looks like Vic34 the ex-admiralty supply (VICtualling) ship that used to ply the Clyde & West Coast on charter trips. Would often enter anchorages/ harbours with a piper on the bow. Quite impressive provided it wasn't too close! Always had a couple of tomato plants in the pilot house.
