Bqattery for a Flybook A33i Netbook

I have a Dialogue Flybook A33i, the battery has given up the ghost and a replacement is astronomical. Any ideas? Im quite proficient with soldering and electronics.... Battery pack says Li-ion and I think it is 3 cells and 2200ah. Help

Afraid not but thanks. That is for the V5, my model is the A33i which is a smaller and more sleek model.

Hi Steve, tried them but they dont use Li-ion batteries. Looks like only place Ive seen is in the USA !!!

Oh Bugger! Sorry. Did they say why? I suspect there must be some problem either with getting them or connecting them together - which is done by a specialist spot welding tool.

Netbook battery

I used them for my old acer laptop. the old battery only lasts about 20min (5/6years old), the new one is lower AH but lasts about 1.5 hrs
cost £75 but I could't aford to have total failure before I got a new one.
I can still use the old battery when conected to the charger, even on the boat.

Hopefully sorted. Found a supplier of teh actual Li-ion cells and have bought 6 at a reasonable cost. Managed to get the old pack apart and will be fitting as soon as the new ones arrive. I will post on completion - or not!

Strikalite say they do not use Li-ion at all.
