Can anyone suggest a company that would be able to repair our damaged windscreen on our Crownline 180BR. We have one shattered side window and one cracked front window. The boat is stored on dry stack and we have no trailer so towing is not an option. It would require company to repair in situ at Poole. I am guessing the frame would need removing before replacement glass/perpex is fitted.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Hi I assume the window is a curved screen & cant just be replaced with flat laminated glass?

We replaced a front & side screen on a searay 290 sundancer about 7 years ago & the screen had to come from the states & had to be ordered thru a searay dealer even though it was manufactured by an independant screen company who I did contact but they had a supply only deal with searay

crownline might be the same or maybe even worse the patterns may no longer exist depending how old the boat is as Crownline went bust a few years ago

i'd contact a crownline dealer first & maybe the origional supplier of the glass which will be etched onto the remaining screens

we waited several weeks for ours to arrive so the sooner you get them ordered the better even if the insurance is paying I'd get it ordered so you have the boat for the season

I'd imagine the logistics of where & when & by who the fitting is done by will be insignificant compared with actually getting the screen to the uk

that was our experience anyway
