Bow thruster

Whilst trying to get back into our moring this afternoon in the wind the bow thruster kept tripping out. I beleive this one is a sidepower with its own battery which i know is at least 6 -7 years old. Could that be the cause or any one have any other ideas?

Why not remove it/get it tested? Truth be told, I'd be looking to replace any battery over 5 years old.

had a similar problem recently. In the end after sending circut boards to manufacturer we found out the 'joy stick' controler was worn out inside!!! Just my luck to have the last thing checked the cause lol!!!! Great things these boats !!!1

Presumably the engine is running while you are using the thruster (i.e. when the trip goes ?)

remember these also have a temp overheat device that trips out to protect the electric motor maybe the thermistor has had it or a simple wire check maybe a loose connection abd when the vibration kicks in it moves it breaking the circut?? sound simple but this is what i checked before sending circits away to manufacturer.
