Bow Thruster

I have a Yetus 50Kg Bow Thruster, all working OK what maintenace/ Anode replacement are required each year, due out of the water end of the month.
If parts are required best place to buy them.

Mines not a Vetus but I guess they are all similar. Just an anode change every year and keep the little oil tank topped up. (I didn't know I had an oil tank before taking the draw out from underneath the bed...no harm done it was still full) My oil is some expensive special from Volvo. There will be a cheaper alternative but for the small usage I didn't bother investigating.

Vitesse in Fareham (?) for spares and advice. On mine, a Vetus, the only maintenance is keep the oil header tank topped up and change the anode (about £30 a pop).

Replace the anode and whilst you're about it - consider updating the prop to the 6-bladed affair that Vetus offer now as it really does improve performance.

certainly agree with the 6-blader

depending on use there is a motor bush that needs replacement...inside the engine cowling (i.e. inside the boat!!) they are expensive from memory...maybe £100 or so. take a look at it before you replace
