Bow thruster heating up quickly

I had always used boats with bow and stern thrusters. All of them were electric powered, not hydraulic and all of them were Sleipner Side Power, non-variable speed ones. I was always aware that I had to use them carefully because if they get hot, they automatically get themselves into "safe mode" and don't come back until they are cool enough. Until now I had shown the necessary care and never had any problems.

However, with my last boat, I am having problems with the bow thruster. Even if I again use it very carefully, not too long shots, always giving some breath if I engage it more than 5 secs etc., it goes into safe mode after total use of less then a minute. There are 2 options that I can think about. The first is, the thruster is underpowered for the boat's size/weight. The second one is, there can be a part (thermal switch) which does not operate properly. I hope that it is the second one, because it is easy to replace. Anyone had similar issues?

2 more possibilities
1.The current the bowthruster is receiving is not enough which can be due to insufficient juice from the battery itself or the wires are not thick enough.
2. the bowthruster blade is fouled by rope debris or even a plastic bag.

Good points, thanks a lot!

I believe that the first option would not be a case as the boat is a SS, should have been engineered well. But the second one can be possible. I will dive and have a look.
