Recently we bought a vintage Singer Sewing machine from Ebay to make the odd boating thing or two and we just knocked up a bow dodger for our 4.5 m rib. We used carbon fiber tent poles (£7) and some 1000 gauge visqueen (Damp Proof membrane) for the 'canvas' as we wanted to be able to sort of see through it. It is not completly clear but still possible to see through. We then bought rubbing strake clips and some bungee.

The whole thing was very quick to make and hopefully will provide a little shelter for her indoors on the occasion that he sea wipps up.

The whole thing folds up into a little bag I also made and easily fits in the bow locker.

If anyone is interested in how it was made post a reply and I will happily reply.

Buying one of these to fit your particular boat is not very easy which is why I decided to make one which was quite a lot of fun and very satisfying

If you have a sewing machine they are very quick to make. About 4 hours should see it complete. On a tender you can also use thinner plastic if you like
