Mirelle
N/A
Dan,
Bouquet 1:
Cracking good article by Pete Dodds. More of same, please. Incidentally he is a VGB - years ago I was standing by my dinghy on the hard on the south shore of the Swale feeling a bit less than keen about the pull out to Mirelle in a stiff Ne'ly and although he did not know me from Adam he came up to me and suggested that he put me aboard and tow my dinghy with his workboat, which he duly did. I've never had a chance to thank him.
Bouquet 2
Your article on renewing rubbing strakes.
Bouquet 3
Peter Willis' article on the Windfalls.
Bouquet 4
Jeff Howlett's article on Stellas.
Bouquet 5
Adrian Morgan's interview with Robb White
Bouquet 6
Peter Willis' article on training.
And now for the Brickbats, for "Hello!" type stuff..
Brickbat 1
Peter Willis, for wittering on about huge oil lamps and waterside pubs whilst he is meant to be reviewing Luke Powell's latest boat.
Brickbat 2
Vanessa Bird, for covering anodes without mention of the dire effects of alkali build up at the cathode on wooden hulls.
Brickbat 3
If those seams at the foot of page 68 were paid with Jeffery's No 2, I'm a Dutchman
and finally
EXTRA LARGE BRICKBAT
for "Water Babes" (sic!) on the cover, as an excuse for four pages of meaningless piccies of wimmin on the "Mediterranean regatta circuit" - pure "Hello!" magazine stuff.
6/10.
Cheers
