Been looking for a Bluetooth portable speaker facility for ages - bought a few Bluetooth converters for my Logitech 715si speaker, which is good, but not particularly convenient.

Been drawn to the Bose for a while, but couldn't really justify the money until I rationalised things and called it my Christmas present.

Got it last night, and just can't stop listening to it - even took it to bed with me :(

Fabulous sound and great bass for such a small thing - I don't care that audiophiles knock Bose... This one is the dogs danglies!

+1 for the sound link, mines over a year old and flown around the cabin more than once , still pumps out perfect tunes, connects via blue tooth seamlessly as soon as the laptop or i pad is fired up, battery still gives around six hours ,add it to playing a movie and you get all the action of the cinema :-)

ONLY downside for me is no 12 volt or USB charging , other than that a happy customer.

The Soundlink Mini charges with a 12 volt input. You can get a bespoke cable from Bose for about £25, but I'm using one from Kogan for £9,

I think that you're maybe talking about a different model:

OP's Soundlink Mini: http://www.bose.co.uk/GB/en/home-an...th-speakers/soundlink-mini-bluetooth-speaker/

Your Soundlink?: http://www.bose.co.uk/GB/en/home-an...eakers/soundlink-bluetooth-mobile-speaker-ii/

Also, if you click on the Accessories tab, you'll see that they do offer a 12v car charger cable as an accessory for your (?) model too.
