What sort of paint does one use for the boot top stripe?
What sort of paint does one use for the boot top stripe?
I do like a boot topping but I agree it is a bit of a faff. I use Trilux and a small can lasted me several years so not that expensive.
the simplest is not to bother with a boot top.
A fiddle to mask off specially for it and an unnecessary expense buying another can of some over priced jollop although Hempel Hard Racing Boot Top and International Trilux 33 are available in small cans.
I haven't done it on previous boats but this one has it already. What's it for?
What is the purpose of boottopping?
Great for use along the waterline or as an accent along the gunnels
These self-adhesive vinyl accent stripes liven up the look of any boat. Vibrant, long lasting colors add just the right touch of pizzazz to your boat's exterior, changing it from drab and ordinary to bright, clean and beautiful.
I have use International Toplac for years as the boot topping paint, I usually lift out every 2 years and then it just needs another coat and you can scrub it no problem.
Antifoul below is Jotun.
