Any recommendations for antifouling boot-top paint for UK East Coast use on wooden boat? Have looked at Marinestore page on a/f and completely blinded by science and choice as a result. Not to mention staggered at the cost of some. I suppose I could always raise the WL and do without, when stationary in still water no-one would know...

I'm sure you'll get varying replies, but on my Hillyard I use Blakes Waterline.
The colour is 'True Blue' which is a dark blue, but it becomes a bit lighter in shade, in the course of time, similar to antifouling paints themselves.
One 375ml tin almost gets me round twice on my 32footer, though my boot-top is fairly deep and I don't thin the paint down.

Probably not the cheapest available, but I'm pleased with the results.

I use that too (same stuff, same shade).

Weeds will grow on it, but it scrubs off fairly easily with a brush, used from the dinghy. Worth putting on two coats (only takes a few minutes, as it dries very fast) for this reason.
