Bout time you ditched that silly name.
Hope it improves your humour all round, specially in the For Sale Forum. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

well, I was trying to get something related to the name of the boat - Lechwe (That;s another story) but it didnt work out.

with regard to humour, I am now over 50 and entitled to be as grumpy as all the others around here. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I really preferred 'Bignick'

It sounded nice, big and safe and cuddly, if you like.

The subsequent names are rather the opposite, especially the last one.

Why not go back to being yourself, nice Bignick /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I think he is fighting off his nice image Becky. Shy_Talk confers a bit of dark menace to the street cred.
Infinitely preferable to Lecher though...... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Ahhhh Becky, I hadn't realised you care so much ! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I thought Bignick was a bit thuggish and tacky, like an East end gangster or something.

I shall ask Keith to change it again - and look forward to my cuddle when next we meet (Vannes, I hope).

In the meantime, Trevera25 can p!ss orf !! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Lookee here Nick, what's wrong with Big_Nick? On the grounds that your name is Nick and that you are, ahem, big. Not thuggish at all, if you wanted to go down that route you'd call yerself diamond_hey_you_with_the_broken_nose_Nick or some other soubriquet.

well the gribs are showing 15-20knots of Northerlies round Cabo Raso (the tip of the 'nose') on Sunday and Monday, so conventional wisdom suggests sightseeing in Lisbon for a couple of days.

Will just have do decide once we get there /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

From what I've read I suspect that you'll just have to go for it as Northerlys seem pretty consistent down that coast. If you just want to make progress I did read blog (can't remember which one) where they coast hopped by getting up early, motored to lunch and then pulled into harbour. They did this cause the winds got stronger in the afternoon.

the idea of coast hopping was on a previous thread I started on the same subject back in November.

The gribs for Tuesday and Wednesday next week are showing very benign conditions off of Portugal, so we could go for IT at 2200rpm and cover a lot of ground.

If we can sneak round the Cabo on Saturday, we will because it gives me more options later in the week.

Nick - if the wind drops away then watch for the fog, going south we had zero wind and less than 100 metres viz for two days, bright sunshine above though!

Inshore small Portugese fishing boats don't show up on radar!
