I know that a lot of you chaps see much more shiny bits than what we get here in the UK.
Specifically, anyone know where i can lay my hands on some stainless fairleads, roller type, weld or bolt in. As i am having trouble finding any.
Calibra advertise some but no joy. Trouble is most of them are mega yacht size, and would be more suitable as an anchor for me :)

I'd look at osculati's range Rob, as they have s good range of this kind of thing. But these are unlikely to be a catalogue items due to varying bulwark thicknesses. Oval316 likely make then- Pennpromo on here. Aquafabs.co.uk make them to order for squadron 78; you could ask them too- Dave Steel is the proprietor
 
I have the timage catalog at home, am planning on doing a trip around various suppliers around the uk, have a look at stuff first hand.
Piplers, not heard of those... Will check them out.

My uncle had some made locally, with rollers etc. One part captive so the rope can't go anywhere and the other part with a slot. Cant get any pics for now as the boats covered up but they are quite sexy. Been thinking about making something similar for mine
 
Gave a look on nauticexpo.com and use their search for 'warping fairlead'

There are a few suppliers with varying options ??

the aritex looks about the sexiest thing your gonna see this Xmas ??

I was picturing these hawses with intricate compound curves going in all directions but now that I've looked at some I see how they're shaped and they're not all that complicated you're right. They do tend to have some sort of radius profile on the outside which fits up against the hull though, you'd need some fancy machines to produce that unless you can buy it in.

Ive also found a supplier in taiwan, looking at some of there led lights. Will get some sent over to look at.

I don't have it till I get back to office but I think info at aquafabs.co.uk works. You can also ask these guys - they used to be oem to fairline but less so these days
