Battery rescuing question. Our caravan battery has been found to be low on acid, ie non is viable in 4 of the 6 cells. There may be some remaining below the top of the plates.
I imagine this battery is essentially dead, but if there is nothing to lose, i might as well experiment on it..Would anything be gained by re filling it with deionised water, or acid from another battery?

Thanks in advance,

Matt

Top it up with distilled or deionised water, not acid unless acid as been spilled from it.

If you really think its dead and dont want to waste the distilled water on it top it up with clean rainwater if you have any.

Get it on charge.
